The Anderson’s Cultural Award for Outstanding Creativity in Visual Arts.
At the end of each year, we give an award for
Outstanding Creativity in Visual Arts to a student in St Patrick’s
Primary School. Children gifted with a flair for visual arts are often
not recognised in Primary Schools and not encouraged to pursue it.
Here, we aim to recognise the student who stands out in their
creativeness in visual arts. By giving this award, we hope that the
student will continue to be motivated and will continue to pursue and
improve on his/her flair for creativity in visual arts throughout
his/her years at high school and beyond.

At the end of each year, we give five awards to one
student from each grade at Wade High School from Years 7 to 11. This
awards recognizes the student who is a silent achiever, are considerate
towards others and have a willingness to learn and grow into young
responsible adults of the community. The student must not only have
dedication and good academic results that are consistent, they must
also have a drive and willingness to learn and participate in all other

The Anderson’s Award for Excellence in Mathematics Year 12.
This award is given to one student in Year 12 at
Wade High School for Excellence in Mathematics. Our aim is to recognize
the student in Year 12 who has excelled in Mathematics, has shown
interest and dedication to it, and has shown consistent high
achievement throughout the year.
To us, Mathematics is a very important subject and
it plays an important part in our everyday lives. Many students dislike
Mathematics and say it is boring. This is because they have not
developed an appreciation for Math skills. Many students think they
will be able to find a great job where they will not have to use Math.
However, while there may be jobs that are more writing intensive,
virtually every profession requires some Mathematical skill.
